J.C. Airoldi (b.1969) in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Airoldi left a ten year stint creating art for several nationally acclaimed computer gaming companies to pursue her gallery career full time in 2002. Educated at Massachusetts College of Art and Otis Institute at Parsons School of Design as an illustrator, Airoldi still considers herself primarily self taught in the production of her glowing landscapes. While her influences are too numerous to name all, she sites being influenced and highly inspired by many of the early American Impressionists, the Hudson River School, and contemporaries Richard Schmid and Clyde Aspevig.

Much as the earlier American Impressionists painted seascapes, dunes, mystical skies, and waterways, JC is following in the same footsteps all over New England and the United States.

"To have the good fortune to witness ordinary scenes made extraordinary by light and atmosphere... and then to set out to capture the spirit of my experience in my work. It is my life’s ambition to convey more than just the visual through my work, but to awaken the other senses as well...to rekindle and experience over and over again the smell of the salt air, the feel of warm sand grains slipping through my toes, the sound of reeds rustling in the wind. I want you to feel as I have felt; the motion of drifting clouds, first light creeping over the land, sparkles on the sea - serenity and contentment.

It is my endless pursuit to capture this stillness and the slow steady rhythm of nature all at once.   That truly, is the  heart of everything that drives me."

JC Airoldi’s paintings are represented in both private and corporate collections as well as in fine art galleries along the eastern seaboard.
